In workshops designed for MacLaren core staff and Youth Advisory Council, the Gilbert Centre’s Safer Spaces team ensured that we can continue to provide welcoming experiences and barrier-free spaces for guests, volunteers and staff.
After completing programs that asked us to reflect on the language we use and the nuanced ways we interact with our guests, we feel prepared to continue meeting our goal of bringing people to art and art to people in ways that reflect our community’s needs.
